South Carolina isn’t the only SEC team to utilize a celebrity wideout in the passing game this month.

Second-team quarterback Nick Fitzgerald’s third touchdown pass during Mississippi State’s spring game on Saturday went to former Bulldogs running back Anthony Dixon.

The current Buffalo Bills ballcarrier came off the sideline and leaked behind the defense late in the second quarter to make an acrobatic 59-yard grab to knot the Maroon and White game at 21.

“We gotta cover the NFL players when they show up deep out of nowhere, but we’ll work on that at halftime,” new defensive coordinator Manny Diaz jokingly said to SEC Network’s Kaycee Smith.
