Brown is ranked as one of the top-10 players in the state in the class of 2016, and he’s a top-10 guard in the nation. The 247sports industry composite ranks him as the No. 7 guard, while he’s rated as high as No. 3 among guards and No. 75 overall in the ESPN300 rankings. According to scouting reports, Brown has played mostly tackle during his high school career, but is projected as a guard at the college level. He is listed at 6-foot-3 and 350 pounds.

Alabama now has seven total commitments for its 2016 class, including three offensive linemen with Brown now in the fold. Brown is the second in-state commitment for the Tide, following wide receiver T.J. Simmons (three-star, Pinson, Ala.).

The Crimson Tide went heavy on offensive line in 2015 and appear to be doing the same for 2016. Alabama signed five offensive linemen in 2015, four of them guards. Alabama is expected to go after a few more tackles to round out its 2016 offensive line haul.
