In a recent article on NFL.com, 8 SEC teams made the top 25 list of college football teams with the most NFL talent heading into the 2015 season.

Here’s where the SEC teams were ranked:

2. Alabama

Players to watch: RB Derrick Henry, TE O.J. Howard, ILB Reggie Ragland, DT Jarran Reed and DT A’Shawn Robinson.

“Nick Saban and his staff turn four- and five-star recruits into standout NFL prospects through superb teaching and development. Given the pro-style nature of the entire program, it is no surprise NFL scouts consider Tuscaloosa a must-stop on the scouting trail.”

The NFL.com article also lists newcomer WR Calvin Ridley as a player to keep an eye on this year and in the future.

4. LSU

Players to watch: OT Vadal Alexander, TE Dillon Gordon, S Jalen Mills, WR Travin Dural, S Jamal Adams, WR Malachi Dupre, CB Tre’Davious White and RB Leonard Fournette.

“With the Tigers producing at least one first-round selection in 10 of the last 12 drafts, there is no disputing his ability to groom and develop premier players at every position.”

CB Kevin Toliver II is named as a newcomer to keep an eye on moving forward.

6. Ole Miss

Players to watch: DT Robert Nkemdiche, OT Laremy Tunsil, WR Laquon Treadwell, TE Evan Engram and DE Marquis Haynes.

“It’s not a coincidence that the Rebels have steadily climbed up the charts as their young blue-chip talents have started to mature and flex their muscles on the opposition. Tunsil and Nkemdiche, in particular, are franchise players with the capacity to wreak havoc at the line of scrimmage.”

NFL.com thinks fans should watch newcomer CB Tee Shepard who will debut in 2015.

9. Georgia

Players to watch: OT John Theus, FB Quavyon Hicks, RB Nick Chubb, WR Malcolm Mitchell, RB Sony Michel, LB Leonard Floyd, ILB Reggie Carter and OLB Jordan Jenkins.

“The Bulldogs have always featured a roster loaded with NFL-caliber talent since Mark Richt took the reins in 2001. The tradition will continue in 2015 with scouts already touting the Bulldogs’ pass-rushing tandem of Floyd and Jenkins as one of the best in college football.”

NFL.com thinks fans should pay attention to newcomer QB Greyson Lambert. Lambert, of course, is the Virginia transfer battling for the starting QB position at Georgia.

12. Auburn

Players to watch: DE Carl Lawson, CB Jonathan Jones, LB Cassanova McKinzy, QB Jeremy Johnson, DT Montravius Adams and WR D’haquille “Duke” Williams.

“While the gadgets and trickery are certainly highlight-worthy, it’s the standout play from several players that has scouts trekking to Jordan-Hare Stadium. Williams, in particular, has earned rave reviews from scouts seeking a prototypical No. 1 with size, leaping ability and ball skills.”

The article also cites true freshman DE Byron Cowart as a player to watch.

17. Texas A&M

Players to watch: OT Germain Ifedi, RB Tra Carson, C Mike Matthews, QB Kyle Allen, WR Ricky Seals-Jones, DE Myles Garrett and WR Speedy Noil.

“The Aggies have established quite a reputation for producing top NFL offensive linemen, as evidenced by their string of three consecutive drafts with an O-lineman going in the first round (Luke Joeckel, Jake Matthews and Cedric Ogbuehi). The streak could continue with scouts already touting Ifedi as one of the top prospects at the position.”

WR Christian Kirk is listed as newcomer to watch.

21. Tennessee

Players to watch: WR Marquez North, ILB Dillon Bates, QB Joshua Dobbs, DB Cameron Sutton, DE/OLB Curt Maggitt and WR Josh Malone.

“Butch Jones is quietly rebuilding the program by stockpiling blue-chip talent at the marquee positions….With Dobbs flashing big-time potential as a franchise quarterback, NFL scouts are scurrying to Knoxville to take a glance.”

WR Preston Williams has the attention of the NFL.com writer as a player to watch moving forward.

22. Florida

Players to watch: CB Vernon Hargreaves III, DE Jonathan Bullard, WR Demarcus Robinson and LB Antonio Morrison.

The Gators’ on-field struggles haven’t stopped NFL scouts from poaching the top players on the roster during recent NFL drafts. Hargreaves is certainly on the radar of scouts as the top cover corner in college football; he is already drawing comparisons to ex-Gator CB Joe Haden as a versatile playmaker on the edge.”

The No. 1 offensive tackle from last year’s recruiting class, Martez Ivey, is a player to watch moving forward.
