Alabama is adding a transfer defender from a recent foe.

Aaron Suttles of the Yea Alabama NIL collective shared Monday evening that Michigan safety transfer Keon Sabb is joining the Crimson Tide.

Sabb picked up two letters during his time in Ann Arbor. He has three remaining seasons of eligibility after using a redshirt in 2022.

Sabb played in 14 games this season, making five starts at safety. He was an impact player for the Wolverines in the College Football Playoff.

In the Rose Bowl, Sabb recorded a solo stop in Michigan’s thrilling overtime win over Alabama. He followed that up with a career game in the CFP National Championship. Sabb posted career highs of 6 tackles and 2 pass breakups in U-M’s win over Washington for the national title.

Sabb left Ann Arbor with 28 total tackles over 18 games in his career. He snagged two interceptions last season.

A Glassboro, New Jersey native, Sabb played at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He was rated 4-stars on the 247Sports Composite, the No. 94 player overall.
