Alabama is working to improve a 2024 recruiting class that has climbed up to 5th in the country per the 247 Sports Team Composite. On Wednesday, Nick Saban’s program added another piece to the puzzle.
The commitment comes from Anderson Green, a punter out of Tuscaloosa’s Northridge High School. Green wrote that he’ll be “staying home” in his announcement on Twitter.

Green is listed at 6-feet and 205 pounds. According to Kohl’s Kicking, Green is the 25th-ranked punter for the class of 2024. Here’s what Kohl’s had to say about Green’s prospects:
Green had a dominant performance in the punt competition at the Underclassman Challenge in January of 2023. He won the 2nd competition held at camp! At the 2022 Kohl’s Southern Winter Showcase he showed excellent leg strength and command of his drop throughout the event and had one of the more dominating performances of the showcase tour. He charted several 45+ yard punts at camp including a big ball of 53 yards with 4.6 seconds of hang time.
Alabama’s 2024 recruiting class
Green is the 15th player to commit to Alabama so far in the 2024 recruiting cycle. That group ranks 5th nationally (3rd in the SEC), but Alabama’s average score of 93.68 is the best in the country.
