Alabama football announced a home and home series with Minnesota Tuesday morning.

The matchups will take place in 2032 and 2033. Game 1 between the programs will take place in Minneapolis while Game 2 will be held in Tuscaloosa.

Things are sure to be very different among the 2 teams when this game eventually rolls around.

Nick Saban will no doubt be retired by that point, and who knows what will come of PJ Fleck. Head coaching trends assume he won’t be at Minnesota in 10 year’s time, but who’s to say?

Still, a  home-and-home series is what you want from these far in advance schedulings. Neutral site games bring in more money, but it kills the majesty of college football and a good ole’ fashioned home atmosphere in the process.

THe 2 programs have played just once in 2004, seeing the Golden Gophers come out on top 20-16 in the days before Nick Saban.

Our kids will love this one.
