Big changes are coming to the athletics facilities at Alabama.

There will be upgrades made to several facilities, including Bryant-Denny Stadium and Coleman Coliseum, as part of a 10-year, $600 million “Crimson Standard” fundraising effort announced on Thursday by the university.

The upper deck at the south end zone at Bryant-Denny Stadium will be reconfigured with a new video board, where there is currently seating. This deck features a portion of the Crimson Tide’s student section.

With the upgrades, the capacity at Bryant-Denny Stadium will be reduced. It currently holds more than 100,000 people.

The seating bowl at Coleman Coliseum will be completely rebuilt with two tiers and seats closer to the floor.

Alabama football coach Nick Saban and his wife, Terry, announced at a press conference that they will donate $1 million to the fundraising effort for the upgrades.
