Alabama has seen a host of players enter the transfer portal a day after its loss to Georgia in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

Tight end Jaleel Billingsley topped the list, which included quarterback Paul Tyson–the grandson of Bear Bryant–along with linebackers Drew Sanders and King Mwikuta and offensive lineman Tommy Brown.

That list grew by 1 more as true freshman Brylan Lanier, a former 3-star recruit, announced on his Twitter account that he too would enter the portal. Lanier, who redshirted in 2021, has 4 years of eligibility remaining.

Brylan Lanier is the younger brother of wide receiver Joshua Lanier, who transferred from North Alabama ahead of the 2020 season. The elder Lanier played in 7 games last year but did not record any stats.

As for Brylan Lanier, he originally signed with Georgia State out of the 2021 recruiting class. However, in June, he transferred to Alabama and walked on to the football program.
