Alabama is on the board in the class of 2026.

The Crimson Tide earned a commitment from offensive lineman Zykie Helton on Sunday afternoon. He chose Alabama over programs such as Georgia, Auburn and Texas A&M.

Here’s his announcement:

Helton is an elite prospect who has already picked up offers from some of the top programs in the country. His offer list includes Texas A&M, Auburn, Penn State and Georgia.

He does not yet have a 247Sports Composite ranking due to how early it is in the 2026 recruiting cycle. He first received an offer from Alabama back in June.

Helton is Alabama’s first commitment in the class of 2026. He’s one of the first committed prospects nationally for any program.

He attends Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Georgia. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 300 pounds. Helton is about to enter his sophomore season of high school football.
