Bryce Young kept Alabama in the game after the Crimson Tide had a slew of mistakes early on, including a fumble and a host of penalties. But it wasn’t enough in the end, as Tennessee prevailed with a last-second field goal to win 52-49.

Ja’Corey Brooks made an 18-yard catch on third down and 10 as Alabama worked its way into field-goal range. But after an 11-play drive, Will Reichard saw his 50-yard field goal attempt sail wide right.

Alabama finished with 17 penalties for 130 yards, with a turnover and the late field goal miss.

It was Tennessee’s first win over Alabama since 2006, and the first win over Nick Saban.
