In a move made possible by the NCAA’s relaxing of regulations, Alabama redshirt sophomore quarterback Paul Tyson announced an NIL deal with Krystal Sunday.

Currently the backup to sophomore Bryce Young, Tyson’s name holds a special place in Crimson Tide lore as he is the great-grandson of legendary head coach Bear Bryant.

Headquartered in Dunwoody, Georgia, Krystal is a fast-food chain known for their sliders – small, square hamburgers with steamed-in onions – and milkshakes.

Throughout nine states in the heart of the SEC footprint, the franchise operates 360 locations.

A product of Hewitt-Trussville High School, Tyson was a 4-star prospect in the 2019 class, per the 247Sports Composite. He has appeared in two games in his Alabama career, the 2019 victory over Western Carolina and Saturday’s win over Miami.

Tyson and his Crimson Tide teammates will play the FCS Mercer Bears in their home-opener Saturday at 4 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
