Alabama’s quarterback depth chart has thinned out considerably over the last year.

Alec Morris ended up transferring to North Texas. With the emergence of true freshman star Jalen Hurts, former 5-star prospect Blake Barnett left for Arizona State.

This past Sunday, Cooper Bateman announced his decision to leave. The Utah native will stay with the Crimson Tide until after the College Football Playoffs. Bateman — a redshirt junior — will look to take advantage of the fifth-year graduate rule.

Lastly, fellow reserve quarterback David Cornwell also will leave Alabama. He made his decision public on Wednesday.

With Cornwall and Bateman leaving, the only two quarterbacks behind Hurts on the depth chart include walk-ons Montana Murphy and Josh Palet.
