During Alabama’s Junior Pro Day Wednesday, rising WR Henry Ruggs impressed scouts with his speed.

Ruggs ran a blazing 4.25 40-yard dash during the event in front of NFL scouts, per AL.com’s Matt Zenitz. For context, the fastest 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine this year was 4.30 by Auburn’s Jamel Dean.

The Montgomery, Alabama, native pass catcher recorded 46 catches for 741 yards and 11 TDs. His teammate, Jerry Jeudy, caught a team-high 68 passes for 1,315 yards and 14 TDs. Jeudy also ran a 4.40 40-yard dash per Zenitz. Both return, along with standouts Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith, in 2019.

Tua Tagovailoa will have no shortage of talent returning at WR, but one thing is for sure, if scouts and evaluators didn’t know much about Ruggs before Wednesday, they sure do now.
