Brandon Miller, arguably the best freshman in the country and one of the best overall players in college basketball, was left off the John R. Wooden Award Ballot released Saturday. He was named to the watchlist for the award in January. To put it mildly, many are not happy about the snub.

Miller was left off weekly honors for the SEC recently as well. This likely stems from his recent involvement in bringing the weapon that was used to murder a Tuscaloosa woman in January, which was accused to have been carried out by former Crimson Tide player Darius Miles and a third party. Alabama refused to lower discipline on Miller for his involvement, insisting on his innocence from wrongdoing in the situation.

Because no charges have been levied, some believe he is being wrongly mistreated while others believe he should not be playing college basketball. Both side of the party weighed in on his John R. Wooden snub Saturday morning:
