Nick Saban’s program just pulled off the flip of the year in the recruiting world as five-star signal-caller Bryce Young has flipped his pledge from USC to Alabama.

The five-star California native announced his decision on Sunday. The southern California native had been committed to USC since July of 2018.

Rated as the nation’s #2 dual-threat quarterback in the nation in the 2020 recruiting cycle, Young is rated as a five-star recruit and the nation’s No. 4 overall prospect in the class by 247Sports. Young is a 2020 All-American Bowl selection and was a participant in the latest Elite 11 competition.

Leading up to his senior season at Mater Dei High School, Young had thrown for 8,722 yards and 94 touchdowns with another 16 rushing touchdowns for the California high school powerhouse program.

Young is coming off an official visit to Tuscaloosa, which led to his decision to flip his commitment to Alabama.
