Bryce Young has made a notable decision about his preparations for the NFL Draft as the Alabama quarterback continues to be seen as the likely No. 1 overall pick.

Young has canceled his remaining pre-draft visits, Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported, and added that it’s another sign to back up belief within the league that the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner will be the Panthers’ pick at No. 1 overall. Young also visited the Texans, who draft No. 2.

Young has gained momentum in recent days with NFL Draft analysts like ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. who said he has exchanged notes with ESPN insiders Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen who have also shared reports that Young is trending toward the Panthers.

Kiper has Young at No. 1 because of his decision making and the fact that this past year he didn’t have that elite supporting cast, yet still put up the numbers, and dealt with an injury and only missed one game.

“I think people just look at him as a guy that has the ‘it factor,'” Kiper said. “He’s a winner, he’s got that sparkle and a guy that Carolina I think can move forward with. I think they have the infrastructure there in place with the o-line, supporting cast, all those coaches that will be surrounding the QB. I think Bryce Young would be the guy at this stage we are in the process.”
