The CBS Inside College Football (ICF) crew are all rolling with Alabama over Tennessee in this year’s Third Saturday in October matchup.

The Vols won last year’s incredibly fun contest at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, but the rivalry matchup will be played in Tuscaloosa this season. And Alabama has looked much different from the same team that lost in Bryant-Denny to Texas earlier in the year.

On Tuesday night Brian Jones of CBS Sports ICF explained that Alabama’s defense could swallow Tennessee’s elite rushing offense, one that gashed the conference’s No. 1 rush defense for well over 230 yards last Saturday.

Here’s his full comments:

The Vols are currently averaging 231 rushing yards per game this season, which ranks first among Power 5 offenses. Jaylen Wright, Jabari Small and Dylan Sampson are all NFL caliber running backs, with Wright being one of the more underappreciated backs in America.

And truly, this will be the matchup to watch. If Alabama’s strong defense can affect Joe Milton as much as Texas A&M did last Saturday, the Vols’ offense could struggle against the Tide crowd.

However, if Milton can have even a decent outing and spread the field effectively, Tennessee should be able to rush for 150+ yards with relative ease as they have all season.

Saturday will be a fun one, folks. Kick is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
