One of the most talked about stories in college football is how the Alabama quarterback situation will unfold between Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa.

ESPN broadcaster Chris Fowler was the latest to discuss the competition with Alabama coach Nick Saban, and just as he’s been with local and other national media, Saban defiantly bristled at Fowler for trying to get more information out of him. Saban is doing his best to keep any plans under wraps until kickoff on Saturday night against Louisville in Orlando on ABC.

Although Fowler didn’t go into details, Saban previously has deflected leading questions about the consensus opinion by fans and media that Tagovailoa, the former backup, who came in at halftime of the national championship and led the Crimson Tide to victory over Georgia, would start ahead of Hurts.

“I don’t think you should assume anything. If I’m ready to tell you, I’ll tell you. If I’m not, I won’t,” Saban said recently.
