Former Alabama defensive standout Courtney Upshaw has a new NFL home.

The New York Jets signed Upshaw following a three-day minicamp tryout. Upshaw spent the last two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons after previously spending four (2012-15) with the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens drafted Upshaw in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, and he signed a $5.2 million contract, with over $3.5 million guaranteed. In six career seasons, he’s recorded 216 tackles, with seven sacks. Upshaw has played in two Super Bowls, including winning one of them his rookie season with the Ravens.

Being a standout pass rusher was Upshaw’s trade at Alabama. He was a first-team All-American in 2011 when he helped the Tide to a BCS National Championship.
