One of the nation’s highest-rated uncommitted prospects has made his decision.

After a heated battle for his services, St. Thomas Aquinas standout Dallas Turner has committed to Alabama over Georgia, Florida, Michigan and Oklahoma. Turner announced his decision live on a video stream from CBS Sports.

The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native is also committed to participating in the 2021 All-American Bowl following the conclusion of his high school career.

The rising senior is set to finish his prep career with high school powerhouse program St. Thomas Aquinas after being named Broward County Class 5A-1A Defensive Player of the Year. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Florida native is listed as the No. 2 weakside defensive end and No. 10 overall prospect from the talent-rich state of Florida in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Following his pledge to join the Alabama program, the Crimson Tide now hold commitments from 10 prospects. The class now ranks No. 12 nationally with Turner on board.

Last season, Turner was named Florida 5A Defensive Player of the Year after registering 74 tackles and 16 sacks for American Heritage Plantation.
