David Pollack understands how the season has played out, but has not completely moved off of his preseason thoughts.

As Georgia looks to make a huge step toward clinching the SEC East this week against Florida, and Alabama is off, the ESPN commentator made his pick for the SEC Championship Game on ESPN’s College Football Playoff Top 25 Rankings Show.

“I might be sticking a little to preseason, but I do think Alabama can beat Georgia,” Pollack said, via Bama OnLine. “I think Bryce Young, again another guy that’s ascending, you can tell man he’s playing great; the balance on offense, his ability to buy time, make plays … . Georgia’s maybe offense may be catching up, still getting better, still improving I like it. But I think SEC championship, I think Bama wins that one. And I think that they repeat and play each other for the natty. But I think Bama wins in the SEC championship.”

Some of the questions that remain are can Georgia figure out its quarterback situation between the performance and injuries of Stetson Bennett and JT Daniels, and if Alabama can make it through the rest of the schedule unscathed after it fell to Texas A&M, and another loss would change tiebreaker scenarios.
