A former Alabama offensive lineman suffered an injury that had him carted to the locker room on Sunday. New York Giants rookie offensive tackle Evan Neal had his left knee rolled up on during the first half of the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Neal was seen limping on the sideline after he was taken out of the game in the first half.

The Giants selected the 22-year-old Neal with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-7, 350-pound offensive tackle played at Alabama from 2019-2021 and captured a national title in 2020.

Neal started all 13 games at left guard in 2019 for Alabama before being shifted to right tackle in 2020. During his final season in Tuscaloosa, Neal was a consensus All-American.

Neal has started in all 7 games for the Giants during his rookie campaign.
