Jalen Milroe was a driving force for No. 8 Alabama in the key 42-28 victory vs. No. 14 LSU last weekend.

It was a clash between the Crimson Tide’s sophomore quarterback and LSU senior quarterback Jayden Daniels, who entered with plenty of Heisman Trophy hype.

Milroe more than held his own, with 155 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground as well as 219 passing yards. Daniels finished with 219 passing yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception while rushing for 163 yards and a score.

However, Daniels was knocked out of the game with 12:54 to go on a roughing the passer penalty by Dallas Turner. The play is being chastised by some as dirty.

Yet, to Milroe, unfortunate situations like those come with the territory as a quarterback. Milroe shared his opinion during a recent press conference.

“Football is made to be physical. Shoot I got hit a couple times. I looked at the ref like ‘You ain’t gon call nothing?’ That’s football. You’ve got to get up. You’ve got to look at the next play,” Milroe said. “I’m glad that wasn’t me on the field. I tell you that.”

Next up for Alabama is a road contest at Kentucky on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. EST on ESPN.
