Jalen Milroe had a scare on Alabama’s opening drive as he took a shot to the thigh and briefly struggled to put weight on his left leg before leaving the field.

After taking a play off, Milroe has accounted for 4 1st-half touchdowns as the Crimson Tide lead Kentucky 28-7 at half-time.

Despite an interception, Milroe went 11-for-17 for 185 yards, finding Amari Niblack, Kobe Prentice, and Roydell Williams in the end zone. He also punched one in himself from near the goal line following a Kentucky fumble, totaling 5 carries for 29 yards.

Alabama entered the day No. 8 in the College Football Playoff rankings. A win over Kentucky clinches the SEC West and sets up a presumptive showdown with Georgia — who can clinch the East with a win over Ole Miss or a Tennessee loss — in the SEC Championship Game. Things haven’t been perfect, but Milroe’s play, coupled with a strong defensive performance, have the Tide in the driver’s seat at the break.

Here’s some reaction from social media on Milroe’s 1st half:
