Ohio State DE Joey Bosa is a scary dude.

A consensus first-team All-American at 6-foot-5, 285 pounds, he’s made 20 tackles for loss and 13 sacks this season. He’s a headache for Alabama, which must find a way to block him and keep quarterback Blake Sims upright during the Sugar Bowl.

But at one point, Bosa was a shirtless 15-year-old shivering inside Nick Saban’s office.

According to Cleveland.com, Bosa was attending a football camp in Tuscaloosa in 2010 when Saban pulled him into his office, pressing a button that automatically shut a fancy oak door.

Saban became the first to offer the five-star prospect from St. Thomas Aquinas  (Fla.) High School a scholarship.

This from Cleveland.com:

“They’re pretty serious, intimidating guys, especially when you’re 15 years old sitting in Saban’s office,” Bosa said. “Then he pushes this button that automatically closes his door. (Saban) was like, ‘Get the kid a towel,’ so I had a little towel over my shoulders,” said Bosa, who recalled shivering at the time, maybe because he was nervous. “I heard about the door, he just clicked (the button) and it shut. I was pretty scared.”

Bosa also said Saban is more intimidating than coach Urban Meyer, who eventually landed Bosa at Ohio State.

“He doesn’t joke around much,” Bosa said. “Coach Meyer will joke around a little bit.”
