John Parker Wilson is looking forward to what could be a terrific matchup between No. 11 Alabama and host Texas A&M on Saturday.

The former Alabama quarterback joined McElroy And Cubelic In The Morning to discuss his thoughts on the clash between Jalen Milroe and Max Johnson. Milroe is in his 1st season as Alabama’s starting quarterback while Texas A&M’s Johnson has stepped in to replace the injured Conner Weigman.

Milroe has passed for 838 yards, 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Johnson has produced 436 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 1 interception.

“I think both quarterback are playing well. Milroe, I like what I’ve seen from him this season. He’s kind of grown as a quarterback and grown as a passer,” Parker Wilson said. “I’ve always watched Max Johnson. I think he throws a really nice ball. I think he’s kind of an unpredictable player but I think he can make some really good plays downfield. I think he’s an accurate passer. He’s got a pretty good arm.”

Parker Wilson says a key will be the offensive line support for each quarterback.

“We’ve seen earlier in the season when Jalen Milroe’s been under pressure,” Parker Wilson said. “It’s very difficult for a quarterback to get any kind of momentum going to sustain drives and put points on the board when you’ve got pressure in your lap…That’s the thing that’s going to drive the success of the quarterbacks.”

Alabama at Texas A&M is slated for 3:30 p.m. (EST) on Saturday.
