After the year that was, Bo Scarbrough had a lot to prove in Indianapolis.

The former Alabama tailback had plenty of eyes on him at the NFL Scouting Combine. The question was if the freakish tailback could move past his disappointing season and remind everyone of the back who dominated against Clemson in the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship.

Scarbrough passed that test with flying colors.

The bruising tailback recorded an impressive 4.52-second 40-yard dash (No. 6 among running backs), a 10-9 broad jump (No. 1 among tailbacks) and a 40-inch vertical jump (No. 2 among tailbacks).

That was enough to catch the eye of ESPN NFL draft insider Todd McShay:

Even though he only at 14 bench press reps, Scarbrough might’ve had the second best overall combine among running backs behind Saquon Barkley. The question is if Friday’s showing will move Scarbrough up more in the eyes of the experts.

Heading into the weekend, the former Alabama running back was slotted as a Day-3 pick. Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller had Scarbrough coming off the board in the sixth round.

Who knows how high Scarbrough’s weekend can push him? At the very least, he definitely didn’t hurt his stock in Indianapolis.
