Will the real FitzMagic please stand up?

We are only two weeks into the 2018 NFL season but we have already seen a ton of FitzMagic, coming in the form of two players: Miami Dolphins DB Minkah Fitzpatrick and Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.

The rookie, Minkah, has helped the Dolphins win its first two games of the season after Miami selected him with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The former Alabama star won both the Thorpe Award and Bednarik Award during his time in Alabama, and helped the Crimson Tide win two National Championships.

According to thesports.biz, Minkah filed a trademark application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the rights to “FitzMagic” on Wednesday, and it’s a good thing too.

The other FitzMagic has been the 35-year old backup QB for the Buccaneers, and he’s had an incredible start to the 2018 season as well.

Tampa Bay’s starting QB Jameis Winston was handed a three-game suspension for violating the league’s Personal Conduct Policy, which forced Ryan into the starting role.

His play thus far has been incredible however, as he became the third player in NFL history to pass for at least 400 yards and four touchdowns in consecutive games. He’s arguably been the MVP of the entire league so far.

It’s a good thing Minkah filed his application sooner than later, because what Ryan wore to his postgame press conference on Sunday made it seem like he’s enjoying that FitzMagic label a lot.
