Montana Fouts and the Alabama Crimson Tide’s season came to an end Friday night at the hands of the Stanford Cardinal, 2-0. The Tide exit the WCWS having lost both games to the Vols and Cardinal.

But what a career it was for Alabama ace Montana Fouts. The 2021 NFCA Pitcher of the Year and 3-time All American held her final media conference of her collegiate career Friday night, bidding an emotional farewell to Alabama while reflecting on what she and the Tide were able to accomplish in 5 seasons.

Get your handkerchiefs ready, Alabama fans.

Fouts led the Crimson Tide to a No. 5 national seed this past season, making 29 total starts in 40 appearances. She began with the Tide in 2019 and immediately made an impact and could be considered one of the greatest athletes Alabama has ever seen.

In addition to the accolades listed above, Fouts is a 4-time First-Team All-SEC selection, the SEC Co-pitcher of the year in 2021, the 2021 SEC Tournament MVP for an Alabama squad that won the SECT and cracked the WCWS.

The end of an era.
