Montana Fouts joined an exclusive list of Alabama all-time greats on Sunday afternoon.

Fouts closed out the Tide’s 3-2 Super Regional victory over Northwestern, earning the win. It was her 100th career victory, which put her in rarified air amongst some of the top pitchers in Alabama history.

Fouts’ 100th win means she’s 1 of 3 pitchers in Alabama history to record 100 victories and 1,000 strikeouts in a single career. She’s joined by Shelley Laird and Kelsi Dunne.

Laird pitched at Alabama from 1999-2002. She holds numerous all-time pitching records at Alabama, including wins (115).

Dunne was in the circle for the Tide from 2008-2011. She’s the program’s all-time leader in strikeouts with 1,219.

Fouts is in her final year of eligibility at Alabama, so she’s not likely to break either of those records. She enters the Women’s College World Series with 100 wins and 1,177 strikeouts in her storied career.

This will be Alabama’s third WCWS appearance during Fouts’ time in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama will face Tennessee in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday.
