Nate Oats throws shade at South Carolina after SEC home opener
Nate Oats didn’t care about stepping on any toes after the South Carolina game.
Alabama handled South Carolina at home 74-47 on Tuesday. However, South Carolina had a solid run early in the 1st half and its players started to get cocky and talk trash to the Alabama players. Oats fired back at the Gamecocks at the post-game presser after the big win.
“They said that our guys were kinda talking and there was a lot of talking. Their guys were yelling at our bench for whatever reason, I don’t know. I mean, they made the statement that the SEC isn’t ready for them. Guess we’ll see if the SEC is ready for them,” said Oats. “This SEC team was ready for them. They were talking an awful lot during the game. I don’t condone us talking to the other team off the bench, but I heard what their guys were saying. So, that quick run at the beginning of the game didn’t last long.”
