Josh Primo has taken a step toward leaving Alabama but he isn’t closing the door on a return to Tuscaloosa.

The Crimson Tide guard announced on Wednesday morning that he has declared for the 2021 NBA Draft but plans to sign with an NCAA certified agent, which keeps the option to return to college on the table for him.

In his only season with Alabama, Primo started 19 games and made a total of 30 appearances for the Tide. He averaged 8.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.

Originally from Ohio, Primo was rated as a top 100 overall prospect in the 2020 recruiting cycle and the top prospect from his home state.
