Nick Saban couldn’t tell you who the starting cornerbacks will be for Alabama Week 1 against Utah State.

Saban told reporters Wednesday that there are four or five players still vying for the starting positions.

We could play the guessing game, and we will. One (if its possible to name one) question mark concerning the Crimson Tide this season has been who will start at cornerback following the departure of Jalyn Armour-Davis and Josh Jobe. Saban likely has leaders in mind behind closed doors, but he would never tell the press that.

Kool-Aid McKinstry and Khyree Jackson immediately come to mind as contenders for the vacant spots, as do redshirt freshman Terrion Arnold and LSU transfer Eli Ricks.

Saban added, “Hopefully the competition is making them better.”
