Nick Saban has built a reputation for post-game rants when he appears to be irritated with reporters’ questions. The latest came on Saturday about the Alabama offensive line, and guard Emil Ekiyor.

Saban maintains that Ekiyor is still the starting right guard.

“Now, if Emil didn’t miss 5 days of practice, I’m not sure who would have started at left guard,” Saban said. “Because there’s competition at every position, which is a good thing. My biggest issue, and this may be the last time you ever get one. My biggest issue on the whole team was the day the depth chart came out, so you may have seen the last one. Y’all may have seen the last one. Because that’s all you worry about.”

Saban later said he has 7 or 8 guys who can play winning football on the offensive line, and he wants to play all of them.

“I know you all think I’m crazy, that doesn’t bother me at all,” Saban said.
