Alabama hadn’t received an answer as to whether the four-star defensive tackle was academically eligible to play prior to its season opener against USC last week. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound lineman had academic issues before arriving at UA, but was cleared to enroll in classes for the fall semester.
Offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor will also return from his one-game suspension. Taylor was arrested and charged with a DUI and leaving the scene of an accident on July 17. However, the senior tested negative for alcohol, but performed poorly during a field sobriety test, according to court records.
Both players could see action for the Tide when they host Western Kentucky at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday.
