If there’s one matchup Nick Saban is going to be watching closely on Saturday as Alabama visits Texas A&M, it’s the one in the trenches.

The Aggies feature a defensive line that boasts plenty of experience. Tyree Johnson has been a key contributor from the defensive end spot since his redshirt freshman year in 2018, while Micheal Clemons has been around since transferring to the team prior to the 2017 season. DeMarvin Leal received All-America honors from several publications and was an All-SEC First Team media nod, while Jayden Peavy was a 3rd-team all-conference pick.

And Saban had some high praise for the unit while noting that the Crimson Tide’s front 5 might have their hands full.

“All their down guys are gonna play in the NFL some day,” Saban said on his weekly radio show on Thursday, according to Charlie Potter. “This is gonna be a huge challenge for the offensive line.”

We’ll see how the Tide offensive linemen are able to fare against Texas A&M on Saturday. It’s an 8 p.m. kickoff on CBS.
