Pat McAfee is taking his show “The Pat McAfee Show” to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for a live show for Alabama’s Week 2 matchup against Texas. It will be the first time he has done his show live and it will take place on Alabama’s campus the Friday before the game.

Following his show Friday, McAfee will do a simulcast during the game on Saturday. It will be the first one of the 2023 college football season.

McAfee joined ESPN’s College GameDay for the 2022 season and quickly became a fan favorite through his enthusiastic and sometimes wild personality. Though it isn’t clear whether GameDay will be in Tuscaloosa for the matchup between the Tide and the Longhorns, McAfee and his crew will be on campus.

The matchup is the second of a home-and-home series between Alabama and Texas and will act as another preview for the future of the SEC. Alabama took the first game against the Longhorns on the road last season, winning a narrow 20-19 contest. Texas is looking to get a signature win over the Tide as they look to earn some more respect before joining the SEC in 2024.
