Paul Finebaum didn’t hesitate to give Nick Saban credit after the legendary head coach pulled off a comeback against Tennessee on Saturday.

After a rough start to the season with a loss to Texas in Week 2, Alabama has been locked in and is making a case to reach the College Football Playoff.

Finebaum had high praise for Saban on the Matt Barrie Show on Sunday.

“I think once we move past the second or third game of the season, Nick Saban has taught a master class in why he’s the best coach of all time and why I think this is one of the most incredible seasons of his coaching career,” Finebaum said. “Right now, there are not many more obstacles until at Atlanta. So go for broke against Georgia and see if you if you can get back to the playoffs. He has to get the credit.”

Alabama still has to get through a few tough games before the end of the season, including one against LSU, but the path to Atlanta and the SEC Championship seems very achievable. If the Tide can win that, there’s almost no doubt they would be included in the CFP.

Next week, Alabama will get a week off with the bye.
