On Sunday afternoon, Mexico pulled off one of the biggest upsets in recent World Cup history, taking down defending-champion Germany 1-0.

After such a historic win, Mexico fans are understandably feeling quite confident in their squad, and are now hilariously calling for a game against Alabama.

Nearly every time a team pulls off a major upset in college football, fans chant “We want Bama!” and now Mexico fans are joining in:

That, of course, begs the question — how much does Nick Saban know about soccer? Should he be in charge of the U.S. Men’s National Team (that is noticeably absent from this World Cup)?

Mexico will have to settle for games against South Korea and Sweden in the coming days, but perhaps a friendly could be scheduled with Alabama in the future. Maybe one game of futbol and one game of football?
