Alabama has finalized a deal with Florida State to meet in the 2017 season opener inside the new Atlanta Falcons stadium, according to Tom D’Angelo of the Palm Beach Post.

The Crimson Tide have played in several made-for-TV openers in recent years against Power 5 competition, most recently last season against West Virginia in Atlanta. They’ve opened the season five times inside the Georgia Dome since 2008.

Alabama opens this season against Wisconsin on Sept. 5 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Seminoles already have a featured matched scheduled vs. Ole Miss to open the 2016 campaign in Orlando.

It will mark the fifth all-time meeting between the schools, with the Crimson Tide holding a 2-1-1 advantage in the first four contests. Florida State won the last matchup, 21-14, at Doak Campbell during the 2007 season.
