The Crimson Tide received some good news concerning injured DL Da’Shawn Hand on Tuesday.
Hand injured his knee in a controversial play on Saturday against Ole Miss. The injury was an ugly one on a block that some felt could have been penalized. Nick Saban addressed the play and believes it was a legal one within the rules. Saban did however advocate for a rule change regarding such a play.
The injury was updated to an MCL sprain, and it appears that Hand will be back sooner than originally thought.
Matt Zenitz with AL.com shared the report:
The senior defensive lineman, who suffered a knee injury during the Crimson Tide’s win over Ole Miss on Saturday, is expected to only miss about three games and could be back as soon as Alabama’s game against LSU Nov. 4, AL.com has learned.
Alabama has look dominant lately, but the Crimson Tide usually face a tough battle against LSU. Having Hand back for the Tigers would be a big boost for the defense.
