Gardner Minshew has made his decision, the ECU graduate transfer quarterback is headed to Tuscaloosa.

News of Minshew’s decision comes from Matt Zenitz of AL.com. Minshew visited Tuscaloosa over the weekend after previously visiting Tennessee this offseason. Bruce Feldman of Sports Illustrated is also reporting the news.

SDS had reported both school’s interest in the former ECU quarterback last week, noting his desire to potentially become a coach giving Alabama a strong edge in his recruitment. That despite the path to playing time would appear to be much more clear in Knoxville with Tennessee’s unsettled QB room heading into spring.

The Mississippi native threw for 2,140 yards and 16 touchdowns after playing in 10 games for the Pirates last season. He split the majority of the reps for ECU until he played extensively for the team in November.
