My, how things can change in just a couple of years.

Former Alabama quarterbacks coach Dan Enos has been hired by the Cincinnati Bearcats as the team’s next running backs coach, according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz. Enos was Miami’s offensive coordinator during the disappointing 2019 season.

Enos bolted from Alabama when Miami offered him the coordinator role, as some thought he was going to land the coordinator role at Alabama. Prior to Alabama, Enos was the offensive coordinator at Arkansas (2015-17) and the head coach at Central Michigan (2010-14).

This will be Enos’ second stint at Cincinnati, as he was previously the quarterbacks coach for the Bearcats in 2004-05.

The Miami Hurricanes finished 6-7 this past year. Enos departed Miami following the team’s 14-0 shutout loss to Louisiana Tech in the Independence Bowl. Head coach Manny Diaz had no choice but to make a change after a brutal offensive showing.

Now, Enos won’t be coordinating the offense or coaching the quarterbacks at Cincy; he’ll be coaching the running backs.
