Oscar-winning actress Sally Field is from California, but it appears her work in films such as “Forrest Gump” and “Norma Rae,” which was filmed on location in Opelika, Ala., left her with some negative impressions of the Yellowhammer State, or at least the city of Tuscaloosa.
Brandon Marcello, the editor and senior writer at Auburn 247, stumbled upon this hilarious answer from a Field interview with The Hollywood Reporter and shared the screencap on Twitter.

Overweight or not, it’s hard to imagine many people in Tuscaloosa are that unhappy considering the large number of diehard Alabama football fans in the college town.
If Field ever finds herself in Tuscaloosa in the near future, it’s highly unlikely that Crimson Tide fans will “really like” her after the above comments.
