The Alabama-Tennessee matchup isn’t for the faint of heart for sports bettors, looking to be one of the most unpredictable college football contests of the weekend. Whether or not Bryce Young plays (and how limited he may be if he does take the field).

But Stanford Steve of SportsCenter has some ideas on how exactly this one is going to play out and sees Tennessee perhaps as more shaky than some others might as the Volunteers have received a lot of hype ahead of this one.

And Steve notes the defense during an appearance on “McElroy and Cubelic In the morning” on WJOX out of Birmingham, Alabama.

“I’m not saying they’re going to make Tennessee one-dimensional, but they’re going to limit Tennessee in the run game,” he said. “And when I think about Tennessee, when they go hurry-up and they throw those short passes into the boundary in a tempo situation, I don’t think that’s going to be a problem for Alabama. I think they’ll rally. They’re usually good with communication and that’s what it comes down to.”

He also reflected some concern about how close Tennessee may actually have been to losing the Florida game.

“If they don’t get that drive before the hall and right after the half, Florida, I think wins that game.”

Stanford Steve is going with Alabama here, but it’s easy to draw it up either way. All eyes will be on this contest as the two teams prepare to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday in Neyland Stadium.
