Texas fans didn’t waste any time celebrating the win over Alabama on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.

With chants of “SEC! SEC!” around the stadium, the Longhorns proved ready to join the league next year.

Matthew McConaughey was on hand to support the Longhorns, and raised the “Horns Up” sign throughout the game on the field. Texas got a big game from its defense and QB Quinn Ewers found AD Mitchell for a pair of devastating touchdowns to lead the Longhorns past No. 3 Alabama 34-24 on the road.

Texas enjoyed several historic feats, including its first win over an AP Top 3 team since Oklahoma in 2008 when it was No. 1. The Longhorns also snapped Alabama’s 57-game regular season nonconference winning streak, and 21-game home winning streak, the longest active in the country.

Alabama’s last loss to Texas was in 1982.
