Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle connected for some early fireworks in Sunday’s Christmas game between the Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers.

On 1st-and-10 from Miami’s own 16-yard line, Tagovailoa found an open Waddle. It was time for Waddle to turn on the jets. The former Alabama wide receiver ran by the Packers defense for an 84-yard touchdown, giving the Dolphins an early 10-3 lead.

Waddle’s team-leading 8th receiving touchdown is also the longest play of the 2022 season so far for the Dolphins. Entering Sunday’s game, the longest passing play of the season had gone for 75 yards from Tagovailoa to Trent Sherfield. Miami’s longest rushing play of the year is for 67 yards.

It’s also the NFL’s longest offensive score ever on Christmas.
