Tyler Harrell is going back to the ACC.

Harrell, who began his career at Louisville, committed to Miami on Friday evening. He spent 1 season with the Crimson Tide.

Here’s his announcement:

Harrell is originally from Miami. He attended Columbus High School and was a member of the 2018 high school recruiting class. He was a 3-star prospect, per 247Sports.

He transferred to Alabama after a very impressive 2021 campaign at Louisville. He went for over 500 yards and averaged north of 29 yards per reception that season for the Cardinals.

However, his speed didn’t translate to success with the Tide. Last season, he caught just 2 passes for 18 yards as he struggled to carve out a consistent role in the offense.

Alabama has plenty of depth at the receiver position, even with Harrell’s departure. Jermaine Burton and Ja’Corey Brooks are both expected too play big roles this season. The Tide are also bringing in a trio of blue-chip wide receivers from the high school ranks in 2023.
