Two-loss Michigan is more than likely out of College Football Playoff contention, but Colin Cowherd thinks it’s the only team that can stack up against No. 1 Alabama.

The FOX Sports radio host issued that opinion in a clip of his radio show tweeted Friday. Cowherd said the Wolverines match up so well against the Crimson Tide because they are stocked with juniors and seniors — “NFL bodies,” as he put it.

Many believe one-loss Clemson and Washington are shoe-ins for the CFP top four if they win their conference championship games this weekend. One-loss Ohio State, despite not playing for its conference champion, is in the mix along with whichever of two-loss Penn State or Wisconsin win the Big Ten title.

But none of those teams would be a proper challenge for Alabama, Cowherd argued.

“Alabama is head and shoulders above Ohio State, Clemson and Washington,” he said.

Unfortunately for Cowherd, Michigan will probably be on the outside looking into the top four when the CFP selection committee reveals its final rankings Sunday.
