Nick Saban is entering his 12th season as Alabama coach. And while many have watched his on-field success leading the Crimson Tide, not many have seen what he is like off the field.

On Sunday, ESPN released an all-access video that goes behind the scenes with Saban during Alabama’s preseason — from SEC Media Days to a players’ trip to Lake Tuscaloosa to the first days of fall camp.

Saban even elaborates on one of the biggest decisions he’s made in his career — pulling Jalen Hurts and inserting Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback at the start of the second half of last season’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

“This wasn’t just something that we pulled out of the hat. It was three games in the making, so it was calculated, based on a lot of thought and some things that had transpired toward the end of the season,” Saban said. “We played what I would classify as poorly on offense in the first half against Georgia, especially in the passing game, I think we only completed like three passes and missed a couple opportunities.

“That was the one personnel decision that I felt might be able to help us get a boost.”

But there’s a lot more than just football talk throughout this awesome video. Watch below:
